Good news for all troubled homeowners in North Carolina – The local banking regulators have recently approved new rules that could stop home foreclosures.
Based on the Winston-Salem Journal:
“The rules, which went into effect yesterday, say that companies that service mortgages must stop foreclosure activity once a homeowner asks for a loan modification.”
It means that lenders can carry on with the foreclosure process at the same time they are assisting homeowners to overcome their home foreclosure problems.

Foreclosure has been striking communities of south Salt Lake Valley since the increasing occurrence of unemployment, recession and falling home prices. Those areas with high levels of foreclosure are unlikely to start recovering until home prices stop falling as most economists said.
