Not Eligible for a Mortgage Modification Plan? Postpone Foreclosure for A Few Years Mortgage Free

I have heard of the stories of many people that have been unable to qualify for a mortgage modification plan, and thus face foreclosure issues for their homes. One of the main reasons for this is the fact that President Obama’s Loan Modification has not been as effective or successful as expected, largely due to the many terms, conditions and prerequisites that come with the program that has hampered the efforts of many to re-mortgage their homes and eventually save them.

The President’s mortgage refinancing program faces the same issues, thus many people are opting for different measures to avoid or delay foreclosure for their homes.

Is it possible to avoid or possibly delay mortgage foreclosure on your home, and maybe even keep your home for a few years even without making your mortgage payments? The answer is yes! There are cases where hundreds of homeowners have stayed on in their homes without paying the monthly mortgage payments, just by utilizing and making use of a few well-planned moves. These homeowners have thrived on the fact that law in fact has an allowance to allow this to happen, and they have taken advantage of this fact by learning to do things the right way to keep their homes for as long as they possibly can.

Let us look at some of the tactics that can be implemented if you want to avoid mortgage foreclosure for your home, possibly for as many years as possible. The time you garner from this postponement could also be used to maybe re-apply for the mortgage refinancing program from the President’s office, or even give you time to find a better and more affordable home for yourself.

The best thing to do is to fill yourself with as much knowledge as possible in mortgage foreclosure issues, and taking advantage of all the loopholes within the system to save your home for yourself.

Some of the methods that would benefit you include:

1. Never sign any documents or leave your home in a different person’s name or custody

There are plenty of scams and fake companies that would try to trick you into signing you way out of mortgage foreclosure, but most of them are just scams. Thus do not fall for these scams, instead find your own way to escape mortgage foreclosure or maybe delay it

2. Schedule a hearing at a local Circuit Court

This would buy you plenty of time to delay the mortgage foreclosure process. In reality, this process would take several months as the court normally has hundreds of cases to hear to everyday, thus your case would take time to commence.

And you could even postpone the hearing by requesting for more time to collect all the relevant documents, get a good attorney, and other relevant reasons, thus the hearing could probably only happen after many months, or even a year or two.

This would allow you to stay on in your home even without paying your monthly mortgage payments. The aim here is to delay the hearing, and not win the case (as you are resigned to losing it anyway)

3. Another good option is the Hardship Letter

Something that is addressed to the lender/creditor to explain your current financial difficulties, and possibly delay your mortgage foreclosure for several months. When you receive a foreclosure summon, you would need to react to it within a month, but remember that you could possible wait on it and take about three months to answer it so that you can buy yourself a little bit more time.

Take note of the fact that a foreclosure notice is only legal once it has been received and signed by someone who lives in the home.

Using the abovementioned tips and pointers, you should be able to postpone the mortgage foreclosure process of your home for a few months, or even a year or more if you are lucky. All the best!
